“史上最热五一黄金周”如约而至

5月5日,文化和旅游部对外披露,2021年“五一”假期,全国国内旅游出游2.3亿人次,同比增长119.7%,按可比口径恢复至疫前同期的103.2%。随着本土新冠感染病例的基本清零以及疫苗接种工作的全面推进,“五一”期间国民出游热情高涨,国内旅游呈“爆炸式增长。”

China's domestic trips topped 230 million during the five-day Labor Day holiday, from Saturday to Wednesday, posting a year-on-year increase of 119.7 percent, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said on Wednesday.

The surge reflected people's restored enthusiasm for domestic travel, greatly boosted by China's effective containment of the pandemic and progress in vaccination.

The number of trips made, on a comparable basis, has recovered to 103.2 percent of the same period before the pandemic, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism said.

“宠物盲盒”引众怒

5月3日,有媒体报道,志愿者在四川成都一快递点救助了被打包的160余只小狗小猫。这一事件引发众怒,网友纷纷要求严厉打击非法寄递“宠物盲盒”行为。

据报道,这些猫狗被商家以 “盲盒”的名义在线售卖,并快递至买家。

Chinese netizens have urged authorities to crack down on the illegal practice of delivering animals via "blind boxes" after local media reported that 160 puppies and kittens had been rescued from a warehouse in the city of Chengdu on Monday.

The animals were held in boxes and disguised as regular express deliveries by local merchants selling pets online, CCTV and other state media outlets reported.

视频中,几位中年人围坐在沟渠边,身边摆放着一箱箱奶饮品,他们撕开手里的奶饮品包装,将奶盖留下,然后把瓶里的奶饮品倒入水沟。这是因为《青春有你》第三季投票二维码印在瓶盖内侧,粉丝要为偶像投票就需拧开瓶盖。

All they were interested in, apparently, were the bottle caps with QR codes printed on the inside that could be scanned to vote for contestants on the wildly popular talent show “Youth With You 3.”

中国向印度提供“救命”制氧机

中国驻印度大使孙卫东近日在社交媒体上说,中国目前是向印度提供最多制氧机的国家,并将持续为印度输送制氧机以及其他医疗设备。

上周四,孙卫东曾透露,今年4月以来,中国向印度提供了5000多台呼吸机、21569台制氧机、超过2148万个口罩和约3800吨药品。他还补充,有很多中国企业、私营机构也在用自己的渠道对印度提供各种各样的帮助。

印度卫生部7日公布的数据显示,印度单日新增新冠肺炎确诊病例数再创新高,达到414188例,累计确诊逼近2150万例;单日新增死亡病例3915例,累计死亡超过23.4万例。

国药疫苗拿下世卫“通行证”

当地时间7日,世卫组织总干事谭德塞宣布,将中国国药集团中国生物北京生物制品研究所研发的新冠疫苗列入“紧急使用清单”。

谭德塞表示,这是世卫组织认证的第六种安全有效的高质量疫苗,这将扩大“新冠肺炎疫苗实施计划”可以购买的疫苗范围。

The COVID-19 vaccine developed by China's Sinopharm has been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for "emergency use."

This means its safety, efficacy and quality has been checked and it can be used by the international COVAX vaccine effort.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said by adding the Sinopharm jab to COVAX's arsenal, the relief program could now draw on six approved vaccines to help fight the virus in the world's poorest nations.
